The La Roche Men’s Soccer Team celebrated a goal.
The Redhawks defense “parked the bus” for the whole second half to secure this historic victory. The referee gave the Redhawks a red card which forced them to play down for nearly the whole half.
Team captains Malvin Madzimbamuto, Maddox Anderson, and Niko Manos guided the players through each and every tough play of each game.
For the first time for all three, the title “champion” can be added to their list of accomplishments..
Malvin, a senior, mentioned “To be honest, I wasn’t really expecting to be a champion, let alone be in a final.”
With this being his last season in his cleats and with his team, he wanted to enjoy this time he had left. “The whole team was really focused on enjoying our time together and proving we can be a big team in this conference,” Madzimbamuto stated.

Malvin was shocked, but happy at the same time when becoming a champion. He, as well as the rest of the team, knew that there was unfinished business to handle this season.
The Redhawks were recovering from a few seasons worth of winless journeys and welcoming a new coach, Chris Karwoski.
“I don’t know what happened over the summer but the whole team came fit which gave us more time to work on the tactical and technical side of the game,” Malvin explained. The team putting in the work on their own, definitely showed up in a positive way this season.
He added, “We ran and kept the ball more than other teams in our conference.”
While showing up fit, the men also worked on helping each other out on and off of the field. They made that a huge priority this season. “We had big plans this season, the boys knew that, they came ready to make sure we achieved those,” Madzimbamuto finished up.
Senior Malvin Madzimbamuto has always been a huge assist to the La Roche Men’s Soccer team for the last four years. He finished out his last season as a Redhawk in the NCAA DIII tournament first round.
With this historic run under their belts, the men’s soccer team is once again preparing for business in the 2026 season.
