Rain, Rain, La Roche Students Went Out to Play

What’s it like to be a human today?

It’s like April showers wetting La Roche sidewalks; gusty winds reddening students’ faces and light rain dotting glasses.

It’s like rain beading atop cars, and passers-by scurrying to class.

It’s like bundling up for soccer and lacrosse practice.

It’s like a high of 53 degrees and low of 37 that forces hoodies under athlete pinnies.

It’s like a wet turf field, and turf beads clinging to cleats and skin.

It’s like hoping tomorrow will be warmer, but it is going to be seven degrees cooler.

It’s like wanting sunshine and May flowers.
